1870's E. Howard & Co. Antique 18 Size N Pocket Watch with Exceptional Fancy Dial - 18K Gold

E. Howard & Co

Item No. 7050SH

For the serious pocket watch or Howard collector, few things are more exciting than finding one of the company's exquisite and most luxurious offerings.

Today's offering showcases such an incredible Howard with an extremely rare and exquisite fancy dial coming from a prominent collector who has one of (or perhaps the) finest collections of fancy dialed Howards in the United States. That collector, more importantly to me, also happens to be my father.

It is double signed E. Howard & Co. and in gorgeous condition.

Its exceptionally rare, original hand-crafted Howard dial has breathtakingly intricate gold filigree and multi-color painted design. It is gorgeous mint with no cracks, chips, or hairlines. Our photos couldn't quite do it justice.

Powering the watch is its very fine series VII movement.

It is housed in a classic 18K gold case made by contractor Dubois with polished finish.

The case has only the slightest bit of wear and a slight bit of discoloration on the outside of the back. The dial is mint.

One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it making it ready for immediate enjoyment. It is keeping accurate time.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

This a special opportunity to own a rare masterpiece from America's premier maker E. Howard. It's a watch that would be the crown jewel of many already top-tier collections. We are and will continue to be offering several other exceptional Howards from his collection.

Howard:
In many ways Howard watches was America's premier pocket watch manufacturer. Known for perfectionist standards and experimentation, their watches were both prestigious and expensive, aimed almost exclusively at the luxury market. Compared to watch's from other American watchmakers, they are also scarce, as Howard's level of production was comparatively very modest.
