1910s Rolex Ladies Vintage Art Deco Watch - 9K Rose Gold

Rolex

Item No. 7096

While busy developing their Oyster case, Rolex also crafted lady's pieces to meet the needs of their wealthy female clients. The fine wristwatch featured in this offering is an example of one of these very early Lady Rolex timepieces made for the English market.

The centerpiece of this century old watch is its white porcelain dial with black Roman numerals and distinctive red 12.

Powering this gem is a fine, early Rolex "Rebberg" timekeeping mechanism housed in its original 9K gold case made by Dennison for Rolex that bears hallmarks for Birmingham.

As one of the world's first wristwatches, the wonderful transitional watches showcase their pocket watch heritage with their wide bezel, spade hands, and onion style winding crowns. Born before the days of constant brand focused marketing, these very early pieces are often not outwardly signed Rolex - they are only signed on the case and movement.

Its solid gold case, lightly tinted rose in color, is in honest original condition with indentions around the case band, and presents nicely on the wrist. Its beautiful dial is untouched and in excellent condition with two light hairlines. Our photos don't do it justice.

One of our watchmakers has disassembled its fine original handwound Rolex movement down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it. It is running well, although these watches aren't on par with modern watches.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new black cord strap that replicates the look of the original making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
