1920's Rolex Princess Style Ladies Vintage Art Deco Watch - 18K Gold

Rolex

Item No. 8628

Today's offering showcases this rare and beautiful Rolex Art Deco creation.

It is a pleasing creation with a stunning untouched original dial that has gold and silver stripes and Breguet numerals.

Embodying fine Art Deco design, its case has the angular lines showcased in architecture from the era and its dial epitomizes Art Deco era watch design.

For the movement the company used one of their baguette movements that has a similar design and construction to their famed Prince and Princess movements. It features an oversized winding barrel and balance wheel. By placing these two mechanisms at opposite ends of the movement the watch achieves incredible levels of accuracy and carries a longer power reserve, enabling it to run longer and more accurately on a single wind.

During this period, after assembly and testing, Rolex labeled their best performing movements with some version of the three-tiered "Prima designation." This movement was rated "Prima" for its very accurate timekeeping after assembly.

Its 18K gold Rolex case is in excellent condition with only light wear and very light signs of previous polishing. The Rolex factory stamping on the outside is still strong. Its fabulous original dial presents very nicely with fairly mild toning giving it a true vintage feel.

One of our expert watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and fully serviced it including installing a new balance staff, poising the balance wheel and installing a new crystal.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new black cord strap designed to replicate the look of the original making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
