1920's Tiffany & Co. Ladies Art Deco Watch - Platinum & Diamonds

Tiffany & Co.

Item No. 9126

Like today, in the 1920's, no name better captured the idea of embracing the best life had to offer than that of Tiffany & Co.

One of their special offerings to their most discriminating female clients was a line of jeweled watches emblazoned with the Tiffany & Co. name on the dial.

Although the maker's name was often hidden, the retailer contracted with a number of the world's fine watch and jewelry making firms to produce these treasured timepieces.

The exclusive, lady's wristwatch featured in today's offering dramatically illustrates why Tiffany's vintage watches are sought-after by women of distinction, Hollywood actresses, and any woman desiring to wear a world-class timepiece.

Originally crafted, assembled and decorated by the hands of elite watchmakers and jewelers, Tiffany & Co. spared no expense in creating this gem which was destined for the U.S. market.

Crafted from solid platinum and bejeweled with an amazing sixty high quality, original Tiffany set diamonds totaling just under one and three-quarter carats, the beautiful original case made for Tiffany & Co. embodies the height of elegance and refined taste. They have fire and sparkle one would expect from original Tiffany diamonds.

Our photos couldn't begin to do it justice.

In addition to the stunning case, the high-grade baguette movement employs some of finest Swiss technology from the era, insuring that the mechanism's timekeeping will meet the same high standard as the case design and construction. It was originally adjusted to five positions like very fine watches from Patek, AP, and the like and even uses a diamond end stone in the movement to reduce the wear to the balance.

We were fortunate to acquire this exclusive lady's timepiece in such wonderful original condition down to its gorgeously ornate clasp. The original, platinum and diamond case is better than near mint, indicative of a watch worn with respect for its rarity and value.

The approximately 100 year old untouched original silver dial shows only light signs of aging. And at the right viewing angle, the blue steel hands really show their color. The extra-fine, Merimont movement made for Tiffany & Co. is very clean and running strong.

One of our Master Watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind treasure for that special someone in your life, this is it. Modern Tiffany watches don't come close to matching the charm and romance of this century old original.
