1929 IWC Vintage Art Deco Massive 43mm Mens Wristwatch - 18K Gold & Platinum

IWC

Item No. 5620K

Today's Watch of the Week showcases this very rare, striking, and large mens IWC watch.

In vintage times, the Schaffhausen-based company enlisted the help of the one of the best American case manufacturers of the day, Cresarrow of New York, for certain watches intended for the U.S. market. Founded by Henry Blank in the late nineteenth century, Cresarrow contracted with Patek Philippe, Vacheron & Constantin, Tiffany, Cartier, and IWC among others to build some of the beautiful examples of their early wristwatch cases.

This IWC is equipped with a large and very pleasing two-tone 18K gold and platinum Cresarrow case. At 43mm long, it fits even a large wrist and really fills out a smaller wrist.

We were fortunate to acquire it in such beautiful condition. Its heavy original case is better than near mint. Its silver dial is bright and attractive, a very nice older restoration. And its high-grade IWC movement is clean and running true.

Our watchmaker has just freshly cleaned and oiled the movement.

If you are an IWC collector, you won't want to miss this watch!

Like always including with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
