1935 Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Vintage Stainless Steel Mens Watch - The Original

Jaeger-LeCoultre

Item No. 6045

For many collectors and serious watch connoisseurs, the wristwatch showcased in today's offering needs no introduction...

Named the Reverso because of the way the case swivels to expose either the dial or the case, the watch's innovation and design have landed it among the most collectable vintage wristwatches ever made.

Born from the need for a watch rugged enough to survive the rigors of a polo match without damage, the Reverso embodies form in the service of function.

This vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso featured in today's offering is an honest example of one of these prized watches. It is a second generation LeCoultre Reverso and is the first model to utilize one of the company's "in-house" produced mechanisms. The very first LeCoultre Reverso model actually featured a movement made by Tavannes.

We were fortunate to acquire it. Its parts remain original down to all three original hands and even the original crown.

Its rugged and elegant stainless steel case is in excellent condition with a light factory monogramming (which could be removed). Its Art Deco dial was restored in vintage times. Its fine, early rectangular LeCoultre movement is clean and keeping time.

One of our watchmakers has freshly cleaned and oiled the movement. Photo of the inside are available upon request. For the finishing touch we have installed a new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.

Modern Jaeger-LeCoultre's don't come close to matching the charm and history of this classic vintage original.
