1936 Hamilton Seckron Vintage Duo Dial 14K Gold Filled Mens Watch - Doctor's Watch

Hamilton

Item No. 6115

The Hamilton Watch Co., America's most iconic vintage watch firm, built treasured timepieces that are still cherished by many today. During their peak years, which lasted from the 30's into the 60's, the Pennsylvania establishment developed a reputation for innovation and quality, creating some of the finest American made wristwatches.

The second edition Seckron doctor's watch showcased in today's offering in an example of one of the company's very collectible wristwatches. Released c. 1936, the second edition watches were powered by the caliber 980B mechanism.

It features a large, peripheral seconds dial that insures the hour and minute hands never obstruct the view of the seconds, perfect for taking a patient's pulse and for technical uses.

Its distinctive dial is untouched and better than near mint. It's really hard to find original dials in this condition.

The parts of the watch watch are original down to the dial, case, and all hands. The case presents beautifully on the wrist and shows gold wear-through on the corners of the back as is often the case with these.

Our watchmaker has disassembled the movement down to the last screw and cleaned and oiled it. It is very clean and keeping very accurate time. We have also installed a new mineral glass crystal like the original.

It comes equipped with the cool early vintage strap that was on it when we acquired it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
