1940's Van Cleef and Arpels VCA Vintage Mens Midsize Unisex Rectangular Watch - 18K Gold

Van Cleef & Arpels

Item No. 6777R

Today's offering showcases this rare and very beautiful Van Cleef & Arpels vintage watch. Originally designed for men, it is a midsized watch that today would be suitable for a woman or a man with small wrists.

For those not familiar with the company, Van Cleef & Arpels was one of France's premier watch retailers similar to Tiffany & Co. here in the States or Cartier. Like many watches made for Tiffany, Cartier, and other high-end retailers, the Parisian company's watches were made by Swiss watch firms and privately labeled with the retailers name.

It has a stunning high fashion design and solid 18K gold construction. The case is wonderfully fully decorated on five sides and has a matching gold dial.

This special watch is all original down to the dial, hands, and winding crown. It presents very nicely on the wrist.

On the wrist the case presents as mint. It has light wear to the underside. The dial is original and untouched. The retailers name is visible and reduced in clarity from natural age.

Our watchmaker has freshly cleaned and oiled its fine Swiss made handwound movement. It is keeping time within approx. +1 second per hour.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

If you're looking for a special VC&A watch don't miss this one. Even with their five figure price tags, expensive new 18K VC&A watches can't match the charm and history of this vintage original.
