1944 Rolex Vintage Boys Size Midsize Watch - Solid 9K Gold

Rolex

Item No. 6330

In the late 1930's Rolex ran an ad campaign titled "Time flies" featuring the exploits of renowned pioneering aviators wearing Rolex watches. The successful campaign created a high demand for Rolex watches for the pilots and officers of the era.

Today's offering showcases this very fine and rare early dress Rolex made c.1944 for the English makret. It was produced at the time the company was building its early Oyster line.

It is original down to the case, dial and hands and in pleasing condition. The case is better than near mint.

Originally intended for men, this boys size watch measures 30mm wide excluding the crown.

Its dial is untouched with moderate fading and signed Rolex Shock Resisting, proclaiming the early shock resistance system incorporated into the watch's original caliber 600 movement with Super Balance system.

It original 9K gold case was made by A.L. Dennison for Rolex. Dennison built Rolex cases for the English market.

Our watchmaker has just freshly disassembled the watch down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it. It is quite clean and continues to run strong and true. Note that we left some patina on the watch. Let us know if you would like it removed.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new oil tanned leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
