We are proud to offer the timelessly classic Patek Philippe wristwatch showcased in today's offering. It features an elegant rectangular case with hooded lugs and silver dial with gold accents.
As fine on the inside as the outside, it is powered by one of Patek Philippe's illustrious 9'90 movements, so well designed that Patek used it for more than 40 years! The 9'90 Patek Philippe movement is a tonneau shaped movement introduced in 1934 that was fitted into many famous Patek Philippe watches such as the "Banana" (ref. 2442), the "Eiffel Tower " (ref. 2441), and the "Tegolino".
Its 18K gold case has distinctive hooded tubular lugs in a late Art Deco style. Its silver dial with gold accents beautifully complements the case.
It has all of its original parts down to its winding crown and has just finished a true expertly done restoration.
Its case presents in beautiful condition with hardly any previous signs of polishing. It is just short of mint with only light wear - it retains a strong hallmark on the right side.
Its dial has been restored by one of the leading dial experts in North America. It still retains its original raised enamel signature.
One of our Master watchmakers has fully serviced the watch and restored the movement which consisted of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, expertly fabricating a new hour wheel, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (an $1895 value).
It is running very strong and true, keeping time essentially on par with a new Patek in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a new Teju lizard strap and meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
Please inquire if you would like us to obtain an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives. Patek charges 550 CHF.
