1950 Patek Philippe Vintage Mens Midsize Handwound Dress Watch, Ref. 2506/1 - 18K Gold

Patek Philippe

Item No. 8560

We are proud to offer the timelessly classic mid-century Patek Philippe mens midsize ref. 2506 dress watch showcased in today's offering.

With its understated silver face and timeless yet distinctive round case, it showcases a classic and elegant mid-century Patek style.

In a wonderful display of mid-century design sensibilities, its wide bezel which recessed crown matches the width of its only slightly down turned lugs and creates a symmetry of form.

Powering it is its illustrious Patek Philippe 10 ligne movement, unquestionably among the finest hand-winding movements ever built.

It has fully Patek parts down to the winding crown.

It presents in beautiful condition - our photos couldn't do it justice. Its case presents as just short of mint on the wrist and still retains crisp hallmarks and a clear 18K stamp on the back. Two small and quite light creases in the back - otherwise it presents as just short of mint.

Its silver dial is bright and clean, just restored by one of the leading dial experts in North America. Its original raised Patek Philippe lettering and marker printing are still present.

One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker, has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with genuine Patek parts including installing a new mainspring, polishing the pivots, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $795 value).

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Accompanying the watch is a Certificate of Authenticity from eBay and their new professional watch authentication team. We are also happy to provide a Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity if you would like. Please inquire if you would like us to obtain an Extract from the Patek Philippe archives for you. Patek charges 500CHF to provide one.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
