1950's Patek Philippe Vintage Mens Handwound Special Lugs Watch - 18K Gold

Patek Philippe

Item No. 7876

We are proud to offer this elegant Patek Philippe mens square watch with distinctive lugs showcased in today's offering.

With its classic silver face and dramatic square case, it showcases very fine mid-century Patek style.

Made circa the iconic second half of the 1950's, in the era of the '57 Chevy and '59 Cadillac, its lugs give it a beautiful profile from any angle. Its large dial and case and lug design make it wear larger than its dimensions.

Powering it is its illustrious Patek Philippe 10 ligne movement, unquestionably among the finest hand-winding movements ever built. The movement is stamped in two places with the prestigious Poinçon de Genève attesting to its origin and quality

Its case, which appears to have been made for export because of its two additional hallmarks in addition to the Swiss hallmarks, is near mint with fairly light wear and light signs of polishing. Three of the four hallmarks are still perfectly crisp.

Its silver dial has been previously restored by one of the leading dial experts in North Amerca - all of its original raised Patek Philippe enamel lettering and markings around the dial are still visible.

Four of our Master Watchmakers spent more than three years breathing new life into it and restoring it with correct internal Patek parts and countless hours of their expertise so that it now runs strong and true and can be put into service for decades to come (restoration value $3895). Our loss is your gain. Note that if it is wound fast the winding can skip occasionally.

For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
