1950's Rolex Oyster Perpetual "Bombe" Vintage Mens Ref. 6593 Watch - 14K Gold

Rolex

Item No. 9391

Today's offering showcases this incredibly classy and elegant Connoisseur of Time Certified Pre-Owned Rolex Oyster Perpetual reference 6593. It is an uncommon reference which presents beautifully in gold.

Not seen as often as the 6090 and other similar references, its gorgeous case and luxurious champagne dial give it a really elegant classic style. It's a watch that is perfectly at home being worn everyday or only for special occasions and clearly demonstrates the qualities associated with Rolex watches: precision, reliability, durability, and class.

The centerpiece of the watch are its desirable "Bombe" or 'Bombay" lugs. They bring another added dimension of distinctiveness to the watch and really added a touch of extra class to Rolex's mid-century Oyster line.

Powering it is its renowned Caliber 1030 "perpetual" automatic movement with butterfly rotor used in a few early Explorer and Submariner models, as well as Oyster Perpertuals. It was officially certified as a chronometer.

It has all of its original parts down to the watch's original buckle and is in pleasing condition. Our photos couldn't do it justice.

Its case shows only light wear and only fairly light signs of previous polishing. Its gorgeous bezel has never been polished - it retains perfectly crisp fluting.

Its original dial is in excellent condition. It is clean with only light aging. The luminous has normal toning and has mostly been removed.

The combination of the 14K gold bombe case with champagne dial make for a really striking and elegant look.

One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker, has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with genuine Rolex parts, installing new gaskets, installing a correct new mainspring, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $795 value).

It is running very strong and true, keeping time essentially on par with a brand new Rolex in our testing recording position.

For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a brand new lizard strap and the watch's original Rolex buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
