1951 Jaeger-LeCoultre Vintage Mens Watch, 18K Gold & Diamonds - The Lowell

Jaeger-LeCoultre

Item No. 9703

Long ago Jaeger-LeCoultre built their reputation as masters of watch design with iconic models like the Reverso. In vintage times the company carried on the tradition and crafted certain very distinctive watches for the less restrained U.S market.

Such is the case with this LeCoultre, one of the most desirable vintage dress models made by Jaeger-LeCoultre.

Named the "Lowell", its distinctive style really stands out, and it was one of Jaeger-LeCoultre's few watches made for the U.S market crafted out of 18K white gold instead of 14K gold, attesting to its exclusive top-tier position among the company's American watches.

Its strong and striking diamond dial matches the luxuriousness of its 18K gold case!

It has all of its original parts and presents in pleasing condition.

Its case presents in excellent condition with fairly light signs of previous polishing and only slight remnants of wear.

Its dial has was restored long ago in vintage times. It is clean and has warmed to a light sepia tone, giving it a true vintage look. If you would like to have one of the leading dial experts in North America restore it, please inquire.

One of our Master Watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it and installed a correct new-old-stock glass crystal. It is keeping very accurate time. Photos of the inside available upon request.

For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.

A seldom-seen opportunity to own a fine JLC timepiece before it slips into someone's prized collection.
