1951 Jaeger-LeCoultre Vintage Mens Watch, Rare Model, 14K Gold - The Mitchell

Jaeger-LeCoultre

Item No. 9144

Long ago Jaeger-LeCoultre built their reputation as masters of watch design. This commitment to stylistic excellence produced a number of exquisitely sculpted watches (like the Reverso), and the company's tradition for beautiful design continued to show-up in certain models of their later American market watches like this watch.

Serious connoisseurs will recognize the important wristwatch featured in today's offering as one of the rarest vintage shaped case dress models ever made by Jaeger-LeCoultre. Named the "Mitchell", it is full of distinctive style and masculine panache.

From the classic and luxurious champagne dial to the gorgeous 14K case and high grade, hand-crafted movement, every piece of this special watch showcases the quality one would expect from the fine Swiss watchmaker.

We were fortunate to acquire it in such beautiful all-original condition. Our photos couldn't do it justice,

The case has stunningly crisp unpolished lines, and the back still strongly retains its original factory applied satin finish. This is a truly wonderful example of a rare "Mitchell", and by far the nicest all-original example that has passed through our halls.

Its 14K gold avant garde case is better than near mint with virtually no signs of ever being polished. Its untouched original dial with distinctive spun finish is just short of perfect mint. And its fine, handwound movement is very clean and running strong and true.

One of our Master Watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it. For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

In thirteen years of specializing in rare LeCoultre dress watches, this is only the second Mitchell we have had - don't miss the opportunity to own a fine and very rare LeCoultre before it slips into someone's prized collection.
