The wristwatch showcased in today's offering is one of the desirable U.S. market dress models made by Jaeger-LeCoultre.
During the era that culminated in the '57 Chevy and the '59 Cadillac fin, Jaeger-LeCoultre made avante garde wristwatches for the U.S. market. Embodying distinctive design from the period, they are funky and original, yet elegant enough to be worn on the wrists of discriminating ladies and collectors.
Such is the case with the wristwatch showcased in today's offering, one of the Jaeger-LeCoultre's desirable U.S. market dress models. Distinctive without being ostentatious, Its possesses elegant drama in spades.
Its all original down to the dial, hands, winding crown, and faceted crystal! Its black "crosshair" dial with gilt lettering has a great look to it. Its orignal and untouched. Its case is in excellent condition with gold wear through only on the side tips of the lugs. The high points of the case show no gold wear - a rare treat with an example of this model - so the watch presents beautifully on the wrist.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it. It continues to keep very accurate time. Photos of the inside available upon request.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new Teju lizard strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
