1954 Ulysse Nardin Mens Vintage Chronometer Watch with Special Case - 14K Gold

Ulysse Nardin

Item No. 6622

We are proud to offer this rare and gorgeous Ulysse Nardin chronometer wristwatch, a very distinctive example of one of their vintage watches made for the U.S. market.

Built in the era that culminated with the '57 Chevy and the '59 Cadillac fin, it elegantly stands out without being ostentatious.

It's all-original down to all hands and the winding crown and has extraordinary sculpted claw lugs that give it a total length of 45mm long lug tip to tip..

This is watch that won't be missed when it's on your wrist, and we have never seen another like it. And equipped with a very fine chronometer movement with sweep seconds and dial with 1/5 second marking for technical, sporting or medical uses, it meant business in the timekeeping department as well.

Its 14K gold case is in excellent condition. Its silver is untouched and has toned to sepia, giving it a true vintage. Please inquire if you would like it professionally restored. And its very precise chronometer movement adjusted for temperatures is clean.

One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it making it. It continues to keep very accurate time.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new Teju lizard strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

Ulysse Nardin:
Ulysse Nardin is best known for creating chronometers, extremely accurate time keeping instruments often used by ship's captains to plot and follow the correct course while at sea. By employing sextants and chronometers, a captain could track the changes in his course over time and determine the exact location of his ship and Nardin's marine chronometers were among the most reliable and sought after.
