1955 Rolex Oyster Precision Classic Vintage Mens Handwound Watch - Stainless Steel

Rolex

Item No. 7745

One of the more seldom seen classic vintage Rolex watches is the Oyster Precision as Rolex made most watches of this style with a date.

It features a much thinner profile than the Perpetual models - its understated, elegant and classic design contrast the "busier" look of some of the modern Rolex watches.

Most Oyster Precisions are ref. 6426 which has a smooth bezel. This uncommon reference 6480, made only for a limited amount of time circa the '50's, served as the precessor to long running 6426 and 6427 models. It features an engine turned indexed bezel which adds a touch of class to its mid-century Oyster case. Their dials were often labeled Shock-Resisting or Precision, like this watch.

Today's offering proudly showcases this impressive Certified Pre-Owned mens Rolex Oyster watch in gorgeous restored condition. It measures 34mm in diameter - the same size as a Rolex Date watch.

Powering the watch is its original Rolex early Caliber 1210 handwound movement with shock resistance.

It is fully Rolex down to the hands and winding crown. It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. Our photos couldn't do it justice.

Its case presents as mint. Its dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Rolex factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration it has just been freshly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker (a $495 value). Its engine is very clean and running strong and true. Photos of the inside available upon request.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

We also have two fine quality aftermarket bracelets available for purchase so you can choose which look you prefer or switch between them depending on how you feel. One is done in a Rolex Presidential style and one is done in a Rolex Oyster style. Both have heavy solid link designs and are adjustable and brand new. Please see the sample photos in the listing.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
