Today's offering showcases this beautiful mens midsize Audemars Piguet quartz watch.
Its thin gold case and classic simple understated silver dial and hands, give it a fashionable yet elegant vintage style.
Epitomizing the essence of "'the classic watch" remembered today, watches with this styling made by Patek, Vacheron & AP feature a manually wound movement, round gold cases, understated dial, slender hands, and simple baton markers. As one writer aptly stated, "The extra-slim watch, whose style embraces only the strict essentials, has continued to seduce for its elegance and discretion."
We have owned many examples of this watch - they originally came with AP's extra-flat caliber 2003 handwound movement. A previous owner has converted this one to quartz. While the conversion understandably won't be for everyone, for the right person it offers a chance to own a beautifully styled classic 18K gold ultra-thin AP for half the price of a comparable mechanical one. Plus it never needs to be wound...and no-one will know what's powering it.
As a mens midsize it is well-suited for someone who doesn't have a large wrist.
Its case is in excellent condition with only light wear to the back. On the wrist, it presents as mint with only light signs of previous polishing. Its dial was restored in vintage times. Please inquire if you would like it freshly restored.
Our Master Watchmaker has performed any needed servicing and installed a new battery. For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a brand new Teju lizard strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
