1960's Croton Swiss Vintage Mens Retro "Panda Dial" Chronograph Watch - Stainless Steel

Croton

Item No. AB 1

Today's offering showcases this cool retro Croton "panda dial" chronograph in beautiful original condition. It is a great looking and slightly exotic example of a chronograph from a brand that has become increasingly collectable.

It is fully original down to the dial, all hands, original crown and pushers. Powering it is its Landeron 248 based movement.

Here are some its features:
  • Landeron 248 based engine - Landeron movements were used by Heuer, Baume et Mercier, Gallet and many others in their vintage chronographs
  • Panda dial with contrasting gray sub dials and tachometer scale for measuring speeds
  • Cool and rugged retro waterproof style case with screw back
  • Easy to read luminous hand

With their rugged cases which are full size without being bulky; classic and distinctive styling, and panda dial, it's easy to see why these chronographs continue to gain attention and collectability.

It is all original with with fine details and the case shows only fairly light signs of polishing. The back retains all its wording, despite what the photos seem to suggest. It all shows up intact and readable with the naked eye. The hands are beautifully toned and complement the piece very nicely.

Our watchmaker has cleaned and oiled the movement, which is near pristine. The chronograph resets crisply to a perfect zero.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
