1960's Rolex Ladies Vintage Cocktail Watch - 18K White Gold & Rolex Factory Diamonds

Rolex

Item No. 9382

Today's offering showcases this rare and exquisite Rolex creation. It is has all of its original parts.

It is a special creation made for Bucherer - according to Bucherer advertisement from the period, watches similar to this were made exclusively for the Swiss retailer. As Hess and Dowling state in their authoritative work on Rolex, these watches are, "in fact, the last hand made Rolex watches."

Bejeweled with sixty (38) diamonds, the 18K white Rolex gold case is absolutely stunning! The brilliant diamonds are white, near flawless, and full of fire as one would expect from original Rolex factory set diamonds.

Showcasing a beautiful double lug stacked motif with full brilliant diamond bezel, this cocktail watch as it is called, added the perfect finishing touch to outfits worn to galas, award ceremonies, or other special gatherings.

We were fortunate to acquire this important Rolex that comes from an estate collection in pleasing condition with all of its original parts.

Its case is in excellent condition. Its dial has been restored by one of the leading dial experts in North America. And its sleek, original correctly stamped snake mesh bracelet is in excellent condition.

One of our Master Watchmakers who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker (for many years now Rolex does not "certify" they only "train"), has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with genuine Rolex parts, installing a new mainspring, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive poising, timing, testing and regulation (a $795 value).

We have also timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. It is keeping very accurate time.

Its original handwound Rolex movement is very clean. Photos of the inside available upon request.

Accompanying the watch is a Rolex - Bucherer spoon from the era that showcased the companies' partnership.

For the finishing touch we have meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

If you are looking for a true treasure for that special someone in your life, this is it. Modern Rolexes don't match the charm and romance of this vintage original.
