1960's Tiffany & Co. Mens Vintage Handwound Dress Watch - 14K Gold

Tiffany & Co.

Item No. 7225

In the 1960's like today, no name better captured the idea of embracing the best life had to offer than that of Tiffany & Co. One of their special offerings to their most discriminating gentleman clients was a line of watches emblazoned with the Tiffany & Co. name on the dial.

Although the maker's name was often hidden, the retailer contracted with a number of the world's fine watch and jewelry making firms to produce these treasured timepieces.

Today's offering showcases this stunning solid gold Tiffany & Co. mechanical watch made by Concord for the prestigious retailer. Unlike many examples that had U.S. made contract cases, this is a true fully Swiss creation.

Before cost-cutting measures brought about the widespread use of quartz movements for certain wristwatches, Tiffany utilized Swiss-crafted mechanical movements. Using centuries old watchmaking practices, craftsmen poured individual attention into each wristwatch.

We were fortunate to obtain it in all original condition down to the dial, hands, and winding crown.

Its elegant 14K gold Swiss Concord made case is in good condition. Its soft sides have a few light marks - it presents nicely on the wrist. Its white Tiffany & Co. dial is original and untouched, just short of perfect mint.

Accompanying it is a 14mm Tiffany & Co. buckle.

One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled. For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

If you are looking for a special treasure for someone in your life, this is it. Modern Tiffany watches don't match the charm and romance of this vintage original.
