1960's Ulysse Nardin Vintage Mens Automatic Bombé Lug Watch - 18K Gold Plated & Stainless Steel

Ulysse Nardin

Item No. 8096

Today's offering showcases this full size and classic mens automatic Ulysse Nardin chronometer. It has a timelessly vintage styled case with elegant bombé lugs and strong black dial.

Measuring approximately 35mm in diameter without the crown by 43mm long, it is in between the sizes of a Rolex Date and Datejust. Powering it is its original well-made Ulysse Nardin automatic movement.

Its gorgeous dial has pleasing wide gold markers that give it a distinctive vintage look, and its "tropical" construction case has a waterproof style screw back.

It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. The dial has been meticulously refinished - the gilt printing could pass as UN factory done to the naked eye. The case presents as mint.

As part of the restoration a Master Watchmaker has fully serviced the movement. Amazingly after more than half a century it continues to keep exceptionally accurate time. Photos of the inside available upon request.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new calfskin strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

A classic more than half century old Ulysse Nardin that presents on the wrist like new!

Ulysse Nardin:
Ulysse Nardin is best known by many collectors for creating chronometers, extremely accurate time keeping instruments. Their marine chronometer used by ship's captains to plot and follow the correct course while at sea. By employing sextants and chronometers, a captain could track the changes in his course over time and determine the exact location of his ship, and Nardin's marine chronometers were among the most reliable and sought after.
