1965 Rolex Vintage Mens Handwound Dress Watch - 14K Gold

Rolex

Item No. 9136

In vintage times, in the midst of their high output of utilitarian sports watches, Rolex also made much more elegant dress watches. These fine wristwatches often combine a superior mechanism with beautiful aesthetics.

The very fine gentleman's vintage Rolex made for the U.S. market showcased in today's offering is a beautiful original example of this phenomenon. It features classic and elegant styling and a superbly executed handwound movement.

The watch was presented to its owner for his 25 years of service to Cyanamid, an American conglomerate which became one of the nation's top 100 manufacturing companies.

We are pleased to offer it in beautiful original condition. It has fully Rolex parts and is one of the nicest example of this model we have ever owned.

Its classic two-tone silver dial is original and untouched in mint condition. It shows only the slightest aging under magnication.

Its case is in beautiful condition - it presents as just short of mint with only light remnants of wear and still retains strong lines.

One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker (for many years now Rolex has not "certified" watchmakers, they only "train" them), has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with genuine Rolex parts, installing a new Rolex mainspring, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $695 value).

It is keeping time essentially on par with a new Rolex in our testing position. Photos of the inside available upon request.

For the finishing touch, we have installed a brand new Italian calf-skin strap and aftermarket Rolex style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity and a new timing certificate.

Don't miss the opportunity to own a perfect complement to your sporty Datejust, Submariner, or Daytona.
