1966 IWC Vintage Mens Automatic Full Size Watch, Silver Dial with Date, 18K Gold - Near New Old Stock

IWC

Item No. 6625

Today's offering showcases this incredibly cool "Albert Pellaton" IWC with a classic vintage look. It is in very rare untouched near new-old-stock condition with its original box and 18K gold buckle.

We purchased the watch from the daughter of the original owner.

Powering it is it cal. 8541 movement, part of the caliber 85 family of movements designed by Albert Pellaton and that feature his renowned winding system. This mechanism's automatic winding system is a technical masterpiece, earning it high praise - Gisbert Brunner and Christian Pfeiffer-Belli in their work, Wristwatches Armbanduhren Montres-bracelets, proclaimed it "one of the best automatic movements ever built in Switzerland."

The company built this watch at the same time they were building their famous Ingenieur line which also had watches powered by the caliber 8541.

It is full size, measuring 35mm in diameter without the crown.

It is all original. The first time the back had ever been opened since leaving the factory was when we purchased it.

The case has never been polished - it is completely original and untouched and is accompanied by its original 18K buckle. It has just the slightest bit of wear, which is hardly more than handling wear.

It is a true time capsule IWC.

Its winding is very smoothly, and it is running very true, although a servicing is recommended if it is to be used regularly. Please inquire if you would like our Master Watchmaker to perform the work.

We purchased five watches from the daughter of the original owner and the original owner's spouse, including another IWC in comparable condition.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
