Today's offering showcases this very fine and uncommon rose gold version of Patek Philippe's mens ref. 3503 square Gondolo watch. It is accompanied by an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives attesting to its authenticity and originality.
With its classic champagne face and timeless 18K rose gold square case, it showcases a distinctive and elegant Patek style.
Its angular case has an ultra thin profile from the side.
Patek made the vast majority of the examples of this reference in yellow or white gold. Our research couldn't turn up a single rose gold example to come up at a major auction, and our extensive web search only found two other examples, though we're not suggesting that only three exist.
Powered by a Patek Philippe caliber 175 handwound movement, the company's first ultra-thin mechanism, the watch excels in technical merits. This illustrious movement was awarded the prestigious "Geneve Quality Seal" and this example is stamped in two places with it.
It has all of its original Patek parts and presents nicely on the wrist. Its case is in very good condition with moderate to fairly heavy signs of previous signs of polishing. It is scratch-free. Its champagne dial appears to have been previously restored in vintage times. Please inquire if you would like a fresh restoration or a new color.
One of our Master Watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it, tightened the cannon pinion, and installed a correct new timing disk on the balance. It is keeping accurate time.
For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a brand new Teju lizard strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
As mentioned above, accompanying the watch is an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives attesting to its authenticity and originality. The Extract costs 500 Swiss Francs (approximately $550 USD) to obtain.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
