1966 Rolex Vintage Mens Oysterdate Date Watch, Silver Dial - Stainless Steel

Rolex

Item No. 7899

Today's offering showcases this superior Certified Pre-Owned Rolex Oysterdate Precision in beautiful original condition with very classic silver dial.

It measures 34mm in diameter - the size of a Rolex Date model.

The Oysterdate Precision have become desirable non-sport vintage Rolex watches because their understated and classic design contrast the "busier" look of some of the modern Rolex watches. It's a watch that is at home being worn everyday or only for special occasions. Produced from the early 1950's into the 1980's, it was a strong commercial success for Rolex, winning a large following.

Powering the watch is its original Rolex Caliber handwound movement with date and shock resistance, and it comes equipped with its original Oyster so-called "crimped" style bracelet

It has all original parts down to the dial, hands, winding crown, and bracelet.

On the wrist its case presents as mint. Its untouched original dial is perfect mint with flawless luminous. Its bracelets presents nicely. And its handwound Rolex movement is running very true.

Our Master Watchmaker has just performed a light servicing including replacing the seals with genuine Rolex gaskets ($395 value). It is keeping time nearly on par with a brand new Rolex in five chronometer testing positions.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

Note: Published examples of this model can be found in Osvaldo Patrizzi's work Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches, 2001 Edition, Vol. 2, p. 378-381.
