1967 Vacheron & Constantin Vintage Mens Retro Square Cal. K1001 Watch - 18K Gold

Vacheron & Constantin

Item No. 5325

Today's offering showcases this very fine and rare retro Vacheron & Constantin.

It has an elegant square case and mint original silver dial with distinctive retro styled markers.

Even finer on the inside than the outside, it is powered by one of the company's caliber K1001 movement. For those who like to to rank things, the argument is often made that the 1000 series calibers K1001 and K1002 are overall the finest handwound calibers the company has ever made.

Speaking of their quality, one well-regarded writer stated: “An elegant caliber in five bridges, the sub-seconds 1001 and the center-seconds 1002 had formed the basis of Vacheron & Constantin's reputation in the 1950s and 60s. They were matched only by the peak 10 and 12 ligne handwinds of Patek Philippe…"

Its beautifully finished movement, which remains in very pleasing condition, is stamped in two places with the prestigous Poinçon de Genève.

Its case is in better than near mint condition and retains clear hallmarks. And its original dial is just short of perfect mint.

Our watchmaker has freshly cleaned and oiled the watch.

Like always, included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
