1968 Omega Seamaster De Ville Vintage Mens Handwound Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 10318

Today's offering showcases this cool and uncommon vintage Seamaster De Ville mens watch.

Unlike most Seamasters from the era which were automatic, this reference was powered by Omega's caliber 601 handwound movement. The thinner movement allows for a thinner case than with automatic Seamasters. The calibers in the 600 series aren't particularly common in vintage Seamasters.

The Seamaster De Ville, showcasing both refinement and high function, was the most important Omega line from a sales perspective from the latter part of the 1960's into the 1970's.

Its monocoque - or one piece - case which insured water resistance and slim, elegant profile. The case, when new, achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back.

It measures approx. 33.5mm in diameter without the crown, a half of a millimeter smaller than a Rolex Date watch.

It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition - a 9.6 out of 10.

Its case presents as mint with only light signs of previous polishing. Its dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

A Master Watchmaker has overhauled the movement which was originally adjusted to two positions. It is running very strong and true, keeping time essentially on par with a new Omega, in our testing recording position.

For the finishing touch a new aftermarket calfksin leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.

Your watch is important to us, and we will take care of it for its lifetime. We provide the best after sale care in the business with an extremely experienced team of four Master Watchmakers all of whom each have over thirty-five years of experience and a large number of parts.
