1969 Omega Geneve Vintage Mens Watch, Quick-Setting Date - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 5599

Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage gent's Geneve watches. It has a water-resistant style case with screw back, strong black dial, and quick-setting date.

Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve). According to Omega the name referred to to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records. They later expanded the use of the model name to other watches like this one.

It is 100% Omega down to the original hands, signed winding crown and even signed original crystal! It presents in true expertly refreshed condition.

The strong black dial with baguette markers has been perfectly refinished. The printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

Our watchmaker has has just cleaned and oiled the movement, which is pristine. Our servicing was the first time the movement had been touched since leaving the factory. Photos of the inside available upon request.

For the finishing touch and a new leather strap has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
