Today's offering showcases this very cool and pleasing Omega Seamaster c. late 1960's. It has a classic Seamaster case design with a royal blue dial.
It circa dates to 1969 where it might have laid next to the Speedmaster Professional that would be headed to the Moon.
Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era, and one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs It was the top tier offering of the 500 series. It has 24 jewels and a quick-setting date and was one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from era.
It measures 34.5mm in diameter, in between the size of the Rolex Date and the Rolex Datejust.
It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration.
Its case presents as mint with light signs of polishing to the back. Despite what the photo seems to suggest the Seamonster logo on the back is still fully intact. The lines of the lugs remain strong.
Its dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. On the wrist, it presents as gorgeous mint.
As part of the restoration, it has just been fully overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It winds very smoothly and is running strong and true, keeping time essentially on par with a new Omegas in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch, it has been equipped with a brand new aftermarket calfskin leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
