1970 Omega Constellation Vintage Mens Automatic Chronometer Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 6660

Omega's flagship line for decades, the Constellation represents style, luxury, attention to detail, robust function, and most all, superior precision. Elegant and stately, it is suitable for both casual and professional dress.

Today's offering showcases this classically styled Constellation chronometer.

Featuring an officially certified automatic chronometer movement with quick-set date and a full size waterproof style case, this late 60's - early 70's era Omega demonstrates why the Constellation was the company's flagship line.

Here are some of its more features:

  • Officially certified as a chronometer by the C.O.S.C.
  • Ultra-thin design automatic movement measuring only 4.25mm thick
  • Thinner rotor to reduce stress on key winding parts
  • Quick-setting date
  • Hacking feature for accurate time-setting
  • Royal blue dial with steel markers topped with white. It has a pleasing elegant style. Note that it came out looking just slightly brighter under the photography lights than it does in person. It is a true royal blue.
  • Distinctive full sized retro styled case. The diameter of the watch is 35mm in between the size of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust.

It presents in gorgeous condition - it has just finished a true expert cosmetic restoration. The dial has been meticulously refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

The case presents as mint with light signs of being polished. The lugs have been custom made to accommodate a leather strap and be interchangeable with a variety of straps, rather than an attached bracelet.

One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it making it ready for immediate enjoyment. We have timed it in five chronometer positions - the movement winds smoothly and is running very accurately.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
