Today's offering showcases this prime restored example of one of Omega's vintage ladies automatic Geneve watches.
It has a sporting and classic water-resistant style case, strong black dial with larger retro styled 18K gold hands and markers, and very fine Omega movement. Unlike the vast majority of ladies Omega watches from the era which had handwound movements, this watch is powered by a very fine automatic, on par with their best mens watches from the era.
Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve) and later expanded the line of watches featuring the name. According to Omega the name referred to to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.
It is 100% Omega down to the original hands, winding crown, and even original signed crystal! It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous condition. The dial has been meticulously refinished - the gilt printing on the dial could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it.
For the finishing touch it has been equipped it with a brand new calfskin leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
An almost five decade old Omega that presents like new on the wrist!
