1970's Tiffany & Co. Vintage Mens Automatic Calatrava Watch - 18K Gold

Tiffany & Co.

Item No. 6397

Like today, in vintage times no name better captured the idea of embracing the best life had to offer than that of Tiffany & Co. One of the company's offerings were Tiffany & Co. branded watches, many of which were made for the company by one of the fine manufacturers.

Today's offering showcases this classically elegant Tiffany & Co. mens automatic watch. It has a Calatrava style case and its aesthetic reminds us of some of the vintage Pateks from the era - a bit like a ref. 3445.

Its dial has a neo-classic style and its case is screw back waterproof style - it all has a very pleasing design, especially for an 18K gold watch from one of the finest retailers that we're selling for under $2000.

Powering it is a Tiffany automatic movement based on the ETA. 2783 that's easy to maintain. It is nicely finished and originally adjusted to three positions.

Its original dial is just short of perfect mint and its case is near mint plus.

One of our watchmakers has just disassembled the watch down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it and replaced the original reversing wheel that is a common point of wear for these with a brand new one. It is keeping very accurate time.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile skin strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

A very high-end watch in its day with a timeless style.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
