Omega's flagship line for decades, the Constellation represents style, luxury, attention to detail, robust function, and most all, superior precision. Elegant and stately, it is suitable for both casual and professional dress.
Today's offering showcases this classic Constellation chronometer in gorgeous original condition. It's a prime example of a later vintage Constellation, Omega's flagship watch, before the quartz revolution took hold.
Featuring an officially certified automatic chronometer movement with quick-set date and a robust case, this late 60's - early 70's era Omega demonstrates why the Constellation was the company's flagship line.
It has a wonderful monochromatic look and classic style. It's both traditional and distinctive, with hints of more modern 70's style.
It's just a hair smaller than other models for the era - well-suited to someone who doesn't have a large wrist.
Here are some of its features:
* Steel toned case, dial, and hands and steel and black markers give it a monochromatic style
* High grade movement officially certified as a chronometer by the C.O.S.C. and adjusted to five positions and to run accurately across a wide range of temperatures
* Ultra-thin design automatic movement measuring only 4.25mm thick
* Thinner rotor to reduce stress on key winding parts
* Hacking feature for accurate time-setting
* Textured silver dial with wide steel markers topped with black for easy reading
* Classic case with hints of 70's styling
It is all-original and presents in gorgeous mint condition - it presents as a 9.7 out of 10. Our photos couldn't begin to do justice to its condition!
Its case presents as mint with only light signs of previous polishing to the back and underside of the lugs. Its untouched dial is original and mint.
Its movement, which is very clean, has just been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker ($695 value). It is running very strong and true, keeping exceptionally accurate time on par with a brand new Omega.
For the finishing touch, it comes equipped with a new leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A more than half-century old all-original Omega that looks like new on the wrist!
