1971 Omega Seamaster Mens Vintage Stainless Steel 42mm Watch - Rare Near NOS Big Yellow with Box & Tag

Omega

Item No. 9716

Today's offering showcases this very cool vintage Seamaster 166.092 mens watch, affectionately known as the "Big Yellow."

The Omega Reference 166.092 holds a special place in Omega's storied history. Believed to be made only briefly in the early 1970's, these watches earned their name because of their prominent yellow bezel and extra-large 42mm case diameter which really fills out the wrist.

It exemplifies the bold and dynamic design aesthetics of the era, making it a sought-after collector's item which tells its own story of its heritage.

True to its nickname, the "Big Yellow" features a striking yellow bezel that commands attention and sets it apart from other watches of its time. Its oversized case and bold hour markers add to its visual impact, making it a standout piece on the wrist.

Whether worn as a statement piece or as a daily companion, its distinctive design adds a touch of vintage sophistication to any ensemble, making it a versatile and enduring accessory.

This "Big Yellow" presents in gorgeous near new-old-stock condition with lacquer and sticker on the back. It still has its original hang tag with matching serial number and original box.

To the casual observer it presents as essentially new-old-stock. The crown shows signs of previous polishing and the sides and clasp might have been previously touched up.

The striking dial which has almost a meteorite effect type texturing is untouched and perfect mint with light and pleasing toning of the luminous.

We have left it just as we acquired it. The movement has never been serviced since leaving the Omega factory. It continues to keep accurate time. Please inquire if you would like one of our Master Watchmakers to perform its first servicing.

Accompanying the watch are its original hang tag and Omega box.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
