1972 Omega Constellation Mens Automatic Chronometer Watch with Tiffany Blue Dial - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 8546

Omega's flagship line for decades, the Constellation represents style, luxury, attention to detail, robust function, and most of all, superior precision. Elegant and stately, it is suitable for both casual and professional dress.

Today's offering showcases this classically styled Constellation chronometer. It features a timelessly elegant case and Tiffany "robin egg's blue" dial.

It measures 35mm without the crown - in between the sized of a Rolex Date and a Datejust.

Powering it is Omega's caliber 712 movement, officially certified as a chronometer and the thinnest automatic movement ever made by the company.

The 700 series has a direct lineage to the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly. It was the last very fine movement series of its kind before Omega began to make budget cuts because of the quartz revolution.

The watch is fully Omega. It previously had a true expertly done restoration. It now presents as a 9.6 out of 10.

Its case presents as gorgeous mint condition with strong lines. Its original Omega dial was meticulously custom refinished at the time of the restoration - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. It presents as just short of perfect mint with the slightest bit of changing finish in one area around the periphery and one spot between 10 and 11. At many angles it presents as flawless mint. The only photo of ours that could pick up the slight imperfections was the wrist shot.

As part of the restoration the movement, which is near pristine, has been freshly fully serviced by a Master Watchmaker. It is running very accurately.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new calfskin leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

A five decade old Omega that looks like new on the wrist!
