1973 Omega De Ville Mens Automatic Retro Full Size "TV" Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 7511

Today's offering showcases this gorgeous example of one of Omega's retro vintage watches. Living up to its name as one of the sophisticated "De Ville" models, it features a retro TV style case, classic silver dial, and fine automatic Omega movement.

It is large for a dress watch from the era - measuring 35.5mm without the crown - nearly the same size as a mens Rolex Datejust.

And though most non-round watches are fitted with handwound movements, this model has Omega's fine automatic, 24 jewel caliber 711 movement that was adjusted to two positions and still allows the case to maintain a thin profile.

The 700 series has a direct lineage to the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly. It was the last very fine movement series of its kind before Omega began to make budget cuts because of the quartz revolution.

But what is most striking about the watch is its incredible condition! It is 100% original Omega down to the hands and crown.

It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. The pleasingly large case presents as mint. The silver dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

A Master Watchmaker has freshly overhauled the movement.

For the finishing touch it has been equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

The photos are of the actual watch being sold. A more than four and a half decade old Omega that presents like new!
