1973 Omega Geneve Vintage Mens Automatic Dress Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 9533

Today's offering showcases this gorgeous restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage Geneve watches.

It has an elegant dress style case, strong black dial, and a high grade handwound Omega movement.

Powering the watch is its original caliber 1012 automatic movement with quick-setting date and higher jewel count (23 jewels). It is one of the 10xx series of movements that powered many of Omega's watches from the era including Seamasters and was even worked into a chronometer version.

It has all of its original parts even down to its original signed crystal! It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous condition.

Its case presents as mint. Its matte black dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration it has just been fully overhauled by a Master Watchmaker (a $495 value.) It is running extremely strong and true, keeping time nearly on par with a new Omega in our testing recording position.

For the finishing touch it has been equipped with a brand new calfskin leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

Omega Geneve:
Omega watches can be found on the wrists of many prominent figures including Pierce Brosnan, Michael Schumacher, Michael Phelps, Ernie Els, and Prince William, and one graced the wrist of President John F. Kennedy. Omega has been the official timekeeper for 21 Olympic Games and is the official chronometer of NASA.

Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve) and later expanded the line of watches featuring the name. According to Omega the name referred to to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.
