1974 Omega Geneve Vintage Mens Watch, Quick-Setting Date - 18K Gold Plated & Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 4899

Today's offering showcases this beautifully restored example of one of Omega's vintage gent's Geneve watches.

Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve) and later expanded the line of watches featuring the name. According to Omega the name referred to to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.

Powering the watch is Omega's handwound caliber 1030 movement used in Seamasters from the era. At a time when the quartz revolution was beginning, this watch carried on both the style and mechanical functionality of a traditional Omega.

It has a full size classic 18K gold plated and steel case that measures 35mm in diameter - one millimeter smaller than a Rolex Datejust. It is fully Omega down to the hands and crown. It is in gorgeous restored condition and presents like new on the wrist.

As part of the restoration the movement has been freshly overhauled.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

A four decade old Omega that looks new on the wrist!

Omega:

Worn on the wrists of celebrities Michael Schumacher, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Phelps, and Ernie Els Omega timepieces rank with Rolex and other of the world's fine Swiss firms.
