1974 Omega Vintage De Ville Mens Full Size Automatic "TV Shaped" Watch - 18K Gold Plated & Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 7938

Today's offering showcases this impeccably restored example of one of Omega's ultra-thin automatic vintage watches. It is an uncommon model with an automatic movement in a non-round case.

Living up to its name as one of the sophisticated "De Ville" models, it features a full size TV shaped case, strong black dial, and very fine automatic Omega movement.

It has the look of a solid gold Omega for a fraction of the price.

It is pleasingly larger than most similar style watches from the era - it measures 34mm without the crown. Powering it is Omega's thin automatic, 24 jewel caliber 711 movement.

The 700 series has a direct lineage with the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly. The series ended the 500/700 family of movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. They were one of the finest mass produced movements from the era.

It is fully Omega down to the hands and winding crown and has just finished being restored with a true expertly done restoration. It presents as about a 9.7 out of 10 condition. Its dial has been meticulously refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration the movement has just been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is keeping very accurate time.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new calfskin leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
