1978 Omega De Ville Vintage Mens Full Size Automatic Watch - 18K Gold Plated & Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 8947

Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage gent's watches. It is full size, measuring 35mm in diameter - in between the size of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust - and has a quick-setting date.

Living up to its name as one of the elegant and sophisticated "De Ville" models, it has an classic case and luxurious gold dial.

Powering it is Omega's automatic caliber 1012, 23 jewel movement found in Seamasters and other models from the era. Its so-called "tropical" or "hypo-allergenic" gold plated case with steel back has the look of a solid gold Omega for a fraction of the price.

It is 100% Omega down to the dial, hands, and winding crown.

It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous condition.

The case presents as mint. The dial has been meticulously sympathetically restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye and the dots at the hour markers have been done in a vintage toned sepia color.

As part of the restoration the movement has just been fully serviced by a Master Watchmaker. It is very clean and running strong and true. Please inquire if you would like photos of the inside.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.

For the finishing touch a new aftermarket leather strap has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

A five decade old Omega that presents like new on the wrist.
