1987 Rolex Date (Datejust) Vintage Mens Two-Tone Quick-Setting Watch with Silver Dial - Stainless Steel & 18K Gold

Rolex

Item No. 7042SH

Today's offering showcases this superior original example of a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date model encased in stainless steel and 18K gold. Essentially a Datejust with a slightly smaller diameter (34mm instead of the Datejust's 36mm) it features clean lines and a sharp look and embodies Rolex's timeless class. With its indexed engine turned bezel, it added a touch of extra class to Rolex's Oyster Perpetual line.

As precise as it is classic, it is powered by the same mechanism that powered models of the Submariner, Explorer, and GMT models. A superior mechanism, it offers a level of engineering and craftsmanship that is exceptional.

It is fully Rolex and has a quick-setting date.

The best part of this watch is in awesome original dial! It's as nice as they come. Its classic and elegant and presents as new-old-stock. The luminous hasn't even toned. It matches the original hands perfectly. Our photos couldn't do it justice.

The case presents very nicely.

Our Master Watchmaker has replaced all of the waterproofing seals with new Rolex gaskets. Like a new Rolex it is keeping chronometer grade time in all five testing positions.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.

Note: A published example of this model can be found in Osvaldo Patrizzi's work Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches, 2001 Edition, Guido Mondani editor, Vol. 2, pp. 392-393.
