Created for the Prix de Ville de Geneve in 1965 by Omega's sales director Robert and designed by Raymond Thevanaz, the Dynamic is a wonderful example of a true "Space Age" retro style. It was first released to the public in 1967.

The duo conceived of a watch that could bring the idea of modernity and personality to the wearer. The clean and functional watch, a considerable success for Omega, pushed the boundaries of functionality and design with some features that really made it stand out:

• An ellipse shape with recessed crown determined to be the best geometric shape for the wrist, determined after extensive study
• Easy to read dial with "time zone" sections
• Unicoc case with hermetically sealed crystal water-resistant to a depth of 30m.
• Available with a stainless steel bracelet or easily interchangeable water-resistant Cor-fam straps

According to an Omega advertisement at the time, "The shape of the Omega Dynamic was determined by the anatomy of your wrist; its dial by the workings of your eyes; it strap by the physiology of your skin."

Today's offering showcases this classic Dynamic. Powering the watch is Omega's 1022 movement with pioneering so-called "double quick-set" day and date features.

This is an early double quick-setting day date Omega watch. Omega created the 1020 and 1022 series movement with a double quick-set capability for convenient setting of the day and date. Though many connoisseurs associate the idea of the double quick-set watch with Rolex, which first offered the President model with this "new" feature in late 1990, Omega's 1020 series mechanisms were a pioneer of the technology in large scale production watches.

It has fully Omega parts down to the original hands and winding crown. It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous condition.

Its steel case presents as mint. Its wonderful midnight blue gloss dial has been meticulously refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration, its automatic Omega movement has just been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is running exceptionally strong and true.
