Patek Philippe Officer's Watches:
Patek has produced a number of watches in the officer's watch style, and often uses this term to describe these models.

The company's wrist watches rose to prominence after World War I, although Patek watches were used in the war. in 1989, Patek Philipped revived the officer's watch with an homage model, evocative of the watches used at that time and on naval vessels since then.

Strictly speaking an Officer's Watch has a round case with a simple dial, typically including small seconds sector dial, a large onion crown, scrolled lugs with a screw-in strap bar, and often a hinged ("Officer's") solid case back.

Patek created an Officer's Calatrava for their 150th anniversary in 1989, and this limited-edition watch proved very popular with collectors. Shortly after, Patek introduced an unlimited Calatrava model, Ref. 5022, which included some of the features and style of that limited-edition piece.
