TAG Heuer 2000 Automatic Mens Chronograph Divers Watch, 165.306 - Stainless Steel

TAG Heuer

Item No. 5630

A decade ago, before iconic re-edition models like the Monaco and Carerra, the TAG Heuer 2000 was one of the company's mainstream models. Along with the basic 1000 series, the 2000's symbolized the company.

Today's offering showcases this full featured classic TAG Heuer 2000 series divers watch with automatic chronograph movement. It is full size, measuring 40mm without the crown, about the size of a Rolex sports watch.

Unlike the quartz version of the 2000, this more desirable mechanical example is powered by the very well made 40 jeweled TAG version of the ETA 2892-2 based movement mated to a fine chronograph module.

It showcases the timeless art of traditional watchmaking and is a workhorse movement used widely by upper echelon makers including Union Glashütte, IWC, Breitling, Tudor, Omega, Girard Perregaux, and Frank Muller, including some very expensive models.

It presents in overall pleasing condition - about an 8.7 out of 10.

The case body and back both present as just short of mint. The bezel shows signs of previous polising to two of the gold rider tabs - that is the only real wear to the watch. The sapphire crystal presents as mint. And the dial is mint with even and strong toning of the luminous.

It has just been fully overhauled by a Master Watchmaker (a $495 value).

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.

Tag Heuer 2000 watches:
Internationally acclaimed for their leadership in sports watches, Heuer is legendary for their dedication to building accurate and high-performance timepieces. Embraced by world-class athletes, race drivers, aviators, and anyone who demands the utmost in performance from their wristwatch, the company's watches rank among the most recognizable luxury watches in the world.

Referred to as the "quintessence of sports watches" the Tag Heuer 2000 series prominently features a rotating uni-directional elapsed time bezel with studs. These watches are great Tag Heuer classics and showcase a powerful but understated form and impressive function, water-resistant to 200M (660 ft).

Recognizable across a room as a Tag Heuer, it is appropriate for casual wear as much as it is for business outfits.
