Although the maker's name was often hidden, the retailer contracted with a number of the world's fine watch and jewelry making firms to produce these treasured timepieces.

The modern Movado brand is not as upmarket as it was in vintage times. During Movado's glorious period from 1912 through the 1950's, when such innovations as the polyplan movement, Calendomatic, and exceptional in-house chronographs pushed the envelope of horological technology, and original designs such as the Museum watch took their place in history, their wristwatches enjoyed a level of prestige reserved for works of the very fine watchmakers.

Today's offering showcases this Certified Pre-Owned classically elegant Cartier ladies watch made by Movado for the prestigious retailer.

Its lovely small rectangular rose gold is elegant and showcases classic large lugs.

It has just finished a sympathetically done careful restoration. It appears to still have all of its original parts.

Its case presents in excellent condition with only light wear and light previous signs of polishing. It has one very slight and small indention on the left hand side.

Its dial has just been refinished by one of the leading dial experts in North America.
