Today's offering showcases this superior all-original automatic IWC with a classic retro look.
Powering the watch is a cal. 8541 movement, part of the caliber 85 family of movements designed by Albert Pellaton and that feature his renowned winding system. This mechanism's automatic winding system is a technical masterpiece, earning it high praise - Gisbert Brunner and Christian Pfeiffer-Belli in their work, Wristwatches Armbanduhren Montres-bracelets, proclaimed it "one of the best automatic movements ever built in Switzerland."
The company built this watch c. 1969, at the same they were building their famous Ingenieur line which also had watches that utilized the caliber 8541.
It is in gorgeous all original condition down to the dial, hands, and signed crown and presents as mint on the wrist.
The bracelet has an interesting functional design and can be sized without definite increments to fit virtually any size wrist up to just under 8.5 inches.
Any needed servicing has been performed by our Master Watchmaker. The winding is perfectly smooth and it is running very true.
Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
An almost five decade old IWC that looks nearly like new on the wrist!
