1946 Jaeger-LeCoultre Vintage Mens Triple Date Calendar Watch - Stainless Steel & 18K Rose Gold

Jaeger-LeCoultre

Item No. 7201

Usually when things are complicated, it means more stress, more work, and more effort, but in the end, it's worth it. The same holds true for vintage wristwatches, where gifted artisans and engineers from years gone by labored months and years to create complicated timepieces that transcend art and talent. When it comes to vintage wristwatches, the highest realms of respect and value are reserved for these watches that do much more than merely tell time.

Today's offering showcases one of these very desirable watches. Powered by a complicated, original Jaeger-LeCoultre movement, the watch possesses advanced capabilities that track the date, day of the week, and month, earning it its place as a true "Triple Calendar".

Besides the precision of its movement, it's beauty makes it stand out. We have always felt this model is supremely elegant. This version has the uncommon and pleasing combination of steel with 18K rose gold accents, which the red date track really complements, and its full size case has beautiful large tear drop lugs.

Our photos couldn't do it justice.

With the exception of its well-fitting crown, it retains all of its original parts down to all hands and even the tiny dial screws.

Its full size, attractive case has never been polished and is showing patina. It presents nicely with only light wear and pitting. It shows an old resoldering of two of the lugs, which could be redone if you would like. It retains all its original JLC factory applied satin and strong stamping. A light polish could remove all of the patina if you prefer that style.

Its silver dial with its cut outs for displaying the month and day, has been professionally restored by one of the leading dial experts in North America. And its complicated Jaeger-LeCoultre movement is clean.

One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it. After nearly 75 years, it is still keeping very accurate time and all calendar functions work correctly.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a new Teju lizard strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a full one-year international warranty, a Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.
