1952 Jaeger-LeCoultre Vintage Ladies Backwind Cocktail Watch - Platinum & Diamonds

Jaeger-LeCoultre

Item No. 6732

Of the many luxurious ladies watches Jaeger-LeCoultre manufactured during vintage times, the diamond bejewelled backwind models were the prestigious company's top-of-the-line offerings for women, often costing the equivalent of well over $20,000 in today's valuation.

Besides representing the state-of-the-art in miniaturization technology which required countless hours of high-level watchmaking work, they also possessed the greatest level of artistic refinement, concealing their winding crowns beneath the case back to avoid disrupting the watch's perfect purity and full symmetry.

The gorgeous ladies wristwatch showcased in today's offering is a fabulous example of one of these rare and luxurious watches.

Originally crafted, assembled and decorated by the hands of elite Jaeger-LeCoultre watchmakers and jewelers at their workshop in Switzerland, the company spared no expense in creating this gem. Crafted from platinum and bejeweled with the kind of high quality round and marquise diamonds used by JLC, the gorgeous Jaeger-LeCoultre case embodies the height of elegance and refined taste.

It is fully LeCoultre down to the dial, hands, and winding crown. Specially made for the U.S. market, the dial is only signed LeCoultre. Its fairly heavy and substantial feeling bracelet is 14K white gold with diamonds and appears to have been added in vintage times, perhaps at the original point of sale in the U.S.A.

Its original dial is untouched and better than near mint. Its case is near mint.

One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it and installed a new-old-stock crystal making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
